Triceratops Mascot Débuts at the Baby Fair in Akron

TJ the Triceratops with Melody at the Baby Fair in AkronLast Saturday I had the opportunity to help run the Akron Fossils & Science Center’s booth at the 9th Annual Healthy Baby Fair & Family Expo at the John S. Knight Center in Akron. As you can see in the picture, TJ the Triceratops appeared as a special guest to represent our Science Center. John Lookabaugh (one of our newest speakers) and my wife Melody (as well as our youngest son) also helped run the booth. John, Melody and I made a lot of great connections at the Baby Fair. We even had a small fossil dig at our booth for the little ones to play in!

The Science Center would like to have a mascot costume, like TJ, someday. We would use the mascot at the many events we exhibit at in the community. Please consider donating, or ask your family, your company or an organization that you are affiliated with to donate the necessary funds to purchase a dinosaur mascot for the museum. You can find out how much a mascot like TJ would cost by going to our Wish List page.
