Recently I wrote in our fall newsletter that the Science Center is in need of volunteer help for a number of projects. In the article I also explained how many people are not aware that the Science Center often schedules volunteer work parties to help us with the maintenance and expansion projects here.
Last Saturday, October 8th, Grace Church was the hero of the day when they sent a slew of helping hands our way. Many families and individuals graciously donated several hours of their time to help our staff paint, rake leaves, trim bushes, and haul rocks around (starting the new landscaping project by our entryway). A hearty thank you goes out to each of the kind people at Grace Church who helped!
If you’d like to organize a work day here for your family or group, or just help out as an individual, please take a look at our Wish List to see a list of our current needs and then give us a ring or drop us an email.
It’s exciting to be involved with this organization at this time of such rapid change.
